HUMBLE, Texas (April 10, 2026) — Bayou City ER & Hospital marked a major milestone with a community ribbon‑cutting ceremony celebrating the official opening of its new facility in Northeast Houston on Wednesday, April 1. The event was held at the hospital’s location at 19211 McKay Dr., just off Interstate 69 North.

The grand opening celebration welcomed more than 80 guests, including hospital staff, community members, and local law enforcement representatives. The event featured remarks from hospital leadership, a brief history of the City of Humble presented by Sergeant Gregory Martin of the Humble Police Department, and welcoming comments from Ray Hernandez, President and CEO of Partnership Lake Houston. In addition, students from the Humble High School Strings program provided musical selections throughout the ceremony.

“We pride ourselves on providing expert, concierge-level care, from minimal wait times to taking the time to truly listen to our patients’ concerns, ensuring they are informed about all appropriate diagnostic and treatment options,” said Adam Boester, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Bayou City ER & Hospital. “This pertains not only to our doctors but also to our nurses and techs. We enjoy going the extra mile to provide exceptional service to our patients, something that’s hard to find in today’s healthcare systems.”

The opening of the 42,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility expands local access to a micro-hospital emergency room with inpatient capabilities, along with behavioral health and medical detox services. The facility features an on-site laboratory and advanced diagnostic technology, allowing patients to receive convenient, comfortable, and personalized care, including short wait times and meaningful one-on-one time with a physician.

“We are making a long-term commitment to grow alongside this community, adapt to its evolving healthcare needs, and continuously improve how we serve our patients,” said Laura Rodriguez, Chief Nursing Officer at Bayou City ER & Hospital. “It is truly an honor to officially welcome the community into our hospital.”

“Bayou City ER & Hospital strives to be the premier healthcare choice for the Humble area and surrounding communities,” said Quang Hai Henderson, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Bayou City ER & Hospital.

Bayou City ER & Hospital looks forward to exceeding the community’s expectations for high-quality medical care, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The hospital is conveniently located directly off North Interstate 69.
